Re-illustrating The Story of Ferdinand

After how much I learned and enjoyed through my re-illustration of The Velveteen Rabbit, I decided to try another classical children’s book with the same style. What I did differently through this personal project was that I put more time into researching how books are put together and printed and how that can affect the illustrator’s work. I became more aware of the thumb space where the reader holds the book pages open, the center crease in the book, and where to place the text as I created these illustrations.
